[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시의 곳곳서 어려운 이웃을 돕기 위한 다양한 행사가 열렸다.
수지구 상현1동은 새마을 부녀회(회장 이호일)가 28일부터 이틀간 동 행정복지센터 로비에서 2024년 추석맞이 바자회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
500여명의 주민이 찾은 바자회에서는 다시마, 참기름, 메밀가루 등의 식료품을 시중보다 저렴한 가격에 판매했다. 이날 행사에서 모인 수익금은 용인시 새마을회관 무료급식소 지원 등 불우이웃을 위해 사용될 예정이다.
이호일 부녀회장은 “이번 바자회에 주민들이 적극적으로 참여해줘 감사하다”며 앞으로도 어려운 이웃을 위한 봉사와 나눔을 실천해 나가겠다“고 말했다.
이와 별개로 동 지역사회보장협의체(위원장 이경원)는 28일 지역 내 기업인 ㈜본누벨(대표 서강헌)을 지역복지협력기관으로 인증하고 현판을 전달했다.
㈜본누벨은 협의체와 지난 6월 상호 업무협약 체결을 통해 취약계층을 위한 신선한 빵꾸러미 지원을 약속했고 매월 1회 한부모가정 등 10가구에 베이커리를 전달하고 있다.
동 관계자는 “어려운 이웃에 대한 관심과 나눔문화를 실천해 주시는 ㈜본누벨에 감사 하다”며 “앞으로도 민관이 함께 취약계층을 살펴나가겠다”고 말했다.
기흥구 동백3동은 27일 지역 주민 오정택 씨가 어려운 이웃을 위해 백미 10kg 21포를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
오정택 씨는 지난주 25일 자신의 결혼식 때 받은 백미화환을 좋은 일에 써달라고 전했다. 동은 기탁받은 백미를 추석을 맞아 저소득층 21가구에 전달할 예정이다.
