빙그레 계열 아이스크림 제조 기업 해태아이스가 ‘누가바이트 미니’ 제품으로 ‘2024 굿디자인 어워드’ 우수 디자인 영예를 안았다.
빙그레 측은 해태아이스 누가바이트 미니가 국내 최고 권위를 자랑하는 ‘2024 굿디자인 어워드’ 패키지 디자인 부문에서 우수 디자인에 선정됐다고 9월 20일 밝혔다.
지난 4월 출시된 누가바이트 미니는 누가바를 한 입 크기로 간편하게 즐길 수 있는 멀티 카톤 제품이다. 누가바의 누가 초코와 바닐라 아이스크림이 주는 맛과 식감을 그대로 살렸으며, 한 입에 들어가는 앙증맞은 크기와 둥근 디자인이 특징이다.
빙그레에 따르면 누가바이트 미니는 소비자들이 제품을 취식할 때 즐거움을 느낄 수 있도록 아이스크림에 생명력을 부여하는 디자인을 활용했다. 특히 제품의 개별 포장지에는 눈 모양의 얼굴 디자인을 적용하여 제품의 몰드가 안구 형태에서 착안한 점을 강조했고, 포장지마다 여러 표정이 삽입되어 소비자들에게 골라먹는 재미를 선사했다.
아울러 유쾌한 표정과 다양한 동작을 통해 제품을 캐릭터화 하면서 누가바이트 미니에 걸맞은 귀여운 이미지를 극대화한 디자인이라는 점에서 호평을 받았다.
굿디자인 어워드는 산업통상자원부가 주최하고 한국디자인진흥원이 주관하는 국내 대표 디자인 시상식이다. 1985년부터 매년 종합 심사를 거쳐 디자인이 우수한 상품을 선정해 정부인증 GD(Good Design) 마크를 부여하고 있다.
해태아이스 관계자는 “굿디자인 어워드에 출품한 누가바이트 미니가 우수 디자인에 선정되어 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 소비자들에게 즐거움을 전달할 수 있는 디자인을 지닌 제품을 선보일 수 있도록 노력할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Haetae Ice, an ice cream manufacturer affiliated with Binggrae, has won the '2024 Good Design Award' for its 'Nougat Mini' product.
On September 20, Binggrae announced that Haetae Ice Nougat Mini was selected as an Outstanding Design in the package design category of the 2024 Good Design Awards, the most prestigious design award in Korea.
Launched in April, Nougat Bite Mini is a multi-carton product that makes it easy to enjoy Nougat bars in bite-sized portions. It features the same flavor and texture of Nougat's nougat chocolate and vanilla ice cream, but in a bite-sized, rounded design.
According to Binggrae, the Nougat Bite Mini utilizes a design that brings the ice cream to life so that consumers can feel joy when eating the product. In particular, the individual wrappers of the product have an eye-shaped face design to emphasize that the mold of the product is inspired by the shape of an eyeball, and each wrapper has multiple facial expressions to make it fun for consumers to pick and choose.
In addition, the design was praised for maximizing the cute image of Nougat Mini by characterizing the product through pleasant expressions and various movements.
The Good Design Award is Korea's leading design award ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion. Since 1985, it has been awarding the government-certified GD (Good Design) mark to products with excellent design through comprehensive judging every year.
“We are pleased that the Nougatbyte Mini, which we submitted to the Good Design Award, was selected as an excellent design,” said an official from Haetae Ice. ”We will continue to strive to introduce products with designs that deliver pleasure to consumers.”
