평택시의회, 경기정원문화박람회 벤치마킹

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시의회 산업건설위원회는 남양주시 다산중앙공원을 찾아 우수사례 벤치마킹을 실시했다.

의회는 지난 4일 류정화산업건설위원장을 비롯한 소남영 부위원장, 이관우·유승영·김승겸·김순이 의원이 참석하고 농업기술센터소장, 농촌자원과장, 농업생태원 팀장 등 20여명이 경기정원문화박람회 현장을 견학했다.

이번 벤치마킹은 꼬마정원사 정원, 열상산수폭포, 전망데크, 시민정원사정원의 다산중앙공원에 이어 농부시장 피크닉존, 초청작가정원의 다산수변공원을 견학하고 경기도 조경문화 담당자의 브리핑 순으로 진행됐다.

류정화 위원장은“남양주시에서 열린 박람회는 녹지와 사람, 생활과 문화가 어우러져 도심 속 치유 공간이 시민들의 지역공동체를 활성화시킨 점을 배웠다”며, “이번 벤치마킹을 통해 도시 브랜드 가치를 높이고 생활 속 정원의 가치를 공유하는 경기정원문화박람회가 평택시에서 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 경기정원문화박람회는 2010년 시흥구 옥구공원을 시작으로 2025년에는 평택시 농업생태원에서 열리게 되어 평택시가 정원의 도시로 도약하는 발판이 될 것으로 기대된다.
