[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 가야고분군의 유네스코 세계유산 등재 1주년을 기념하여 지난 16일부터 열린 2024 세계유산 가야문화축제가 20일 대단원의 막을 내렸다.
가야문화축제는 찬란했던 가야역사문화 전승을 위해 1962년 처음 시작되어 올해로 62주년을 맞았으며, 가야고분군이 세계유산으로 인정받음으로써 한층 더 화려하고 성대한 축제가 됐다.
축제 기간 거센 비와 바람으로 기념식 불꽃쇼와 가야왕 대행차 프로그램 등 일부가 취소되어 많은 아쉬움을 남겼으나 가야고분군 세계유산 등재 1주년 기념식을 비롯한 가수 이찬원, 마이진, 제이블랙 등의 축하 공연이 성황리에 펼쳐 졌고, 많은 시민이 우천 속에서도 세계유산 가야문화축제를 즐겼다.
예보와 달리 예상치 못한 돌발적인 기상 악화에도 불구하고 시민들로 구성된 250여명의 자원봉사단체협의회와 교통봉사단체협의회, 해병대 김해시전우회 등의 현장에서의 적절한 대응으로 안전하고 질서정연한 축제가 될 수 있었으며, 무엇보다 성숙한 시민의식이 빛났다.
