충남 서산시의회 한석화 의원이 지난 22일 열린 제299회 임시회 본회의에서 최근 전기차와 충전시설에 대한 화재 우려가 커짐에 따라, 시민 불안을 해소하고 ‘전기차 화재 대비 계획’에 대해 시정질문을 했다.
이날 한석화 의원은 서산시에 전기차 화재 사고와 관련하여 사고 예방과 피해의 최소화를 위해 공동주택에 화재 안전시설 신속한 대처 ,공동주택 스프링클러의 작동 자체 점검과 관리주체 교육 ,자체 소방 훈련 실시 위한 공동주택 대표회 대상 교육 ,소방 당국과의 공동 대응 시뮬레이션 등 구체적인 대안을 제시했다.
한석화 의원은 “최근 전기자동차의 증가와 충전기 설치 확대로 인해 전기차 관련 화재 사고도 크게 증가하고 있는 상황이며, 잇단 전기차 화재에 시민들 사이에는 ?전기차 화재 포비아(공포증)? 현상까지 번지고 있다.”라며 “전기차 화재는 대규모 인명 및 재산 피해를 발생시킴에 따라 전기자동차 화재로 인한 피해 예방은 물론 시민의 생명과 안전, 재산을 보호해야 한다.”라고 말했다.
또한 한석화 의원은 서산시민들을 위한 전기차 화재에 대비해 구체적인 안전 확보 관련 조례안을 심도 있게 검토 중이라고 밝혔다.
