신용보증기금(이사장 최원목)과 KAIST(총장 이광형)는 혁신 과학기술의 가치 창출을 지원하기 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 KAIST에서 개발된 혁신 기술의 이전과 사업화를 촉진하기 위한 협력체계를 구축하고, 우수 기초연구 성과가 새로운 가치로 이어질 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 데 목적이 있다.
협약에 따라 신용보증기금은 KAIST의 혁신 기술을 활용해 사업화하는 기업에 보증을 지원하며, ‘이노베이션1’ 프로그램을 통해 다른 기관의 기업 지원사업과 연계하여 KAIST의 기술 세일즈 활동을 지원할 예정이다.
KAIST는 신용보증기금에 KAIST 기술을 활용하고자 하는 기업 및 창업 기업을 추천하고, 두 기관의 지원 프로그램을 연계해 혁신기업을 공동 발굴할 계획이다.
채병호 신용보증기금 이사는 “이번 협약을 통해 KAIST의 혁신 과학기술이 새로운 시장을 창출할 수 있도록 지원할 것”이라며, “신용보증기금은 앞으로도 혁신 공공기술 확산을 위한 협력 네트워크를 구축해 기업의 기술 경쟁력 확보에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
Credit Guarantee Fund joins hands with KAIST

The Credit Guarantee Fund (Chairman Choi Won-mok) and KAIST (President Lee Kwang-hyung) have signed a business agreement to support the value creation of innovative science and technology.
The purpose of the agreement is to establish a cooperation system to promote the transfer and commercialization of innovative technologies developed at KAIST and to create an environment where excellent basic research results can lead to new value.
Under the agreement, the Credit Guarantee Fund will provide guarantees to companies that commercialize KAIST's innovative technologies and will support KAIST's technology sales activities in conjunction with other institutions' corporate support programs through the 'Innovation 1' program.
KAIST will recommend companies and startups that want to use KAIST's technology to the Credit Guarantee Fund, and the two organizations will jointly discover innovative companies by linking their support programs.
“Through this agreement, we will support KAIST's innovative science and technology to create new markets,” said Byung Ho Chae, director of the Credit Guarantee Fund. ”The Credit Guarantee Fund will continue to build a cooperative network for the spread of innovative public technologies to help companies secure technological competitiveness.”
