골프존문화재단(이사장 김영찬)은 12월 19일 대전의 골프존조이마루에서 소외계층 아동의 따뜻한 연말을 지원하기 위한 ‘2024 희망행복나눔 선물전달식’을 성황리에 진행했다.
골프존문화재단은 2010년 설립 이후 매년 연말마다 지역사회 소외계층 아동들의 꿈과 희망을 응원하기 위한 ‘희망행복나눔’ 행사를 지속적으로 개최해왔다. 올해로 14회를 맞이한 이번 행사에는 박영준 골프존문화재단 팀장과 김현호 대전광역시자원봉사센터장이 참석하여 자리를 빛냈다.
이번 행사에서 전달된 선물은 대전 지역 내 132개 아동복지시설 및 아동센터 소속 아동 2800여 명에게 전달될 예정이다. 골프존문화재단은 연말연시를 맞아 아이들이 좋아하는 장난감, 새 학기에 사용할 학용품 세트, 칫솔 등 실용적인 물품들로 선물을 구성했다. 이 선물들은 골프존뉴딘그룹 임직원들이 매월 급여에서 기부한 성금으로 마련되어 나눔의 의미를 더했다.
김영찬 이사장은 “골프존문화재단은 연말 취약계층의 정서적·문화적 소외감 해소를 위해 지속적으로 희망행복나눔 행사를 개최하고 있다”며, “이 나눔이 아이들에게 또 하나의 원동력과 희망이 되기를 바라며, 앞으로도 골프존문화재단은 다방면에서 의미 있는 사회공헌활동을 이어갈 것”이라고 전했다.
이번 행사는 골프존문화재단이 주최하고 대전광역시자원봉사센터와 공동으로 주관했으며, 골프존 및 골프존뉴딘그룹 계열사의 후원으로 이루어졌다.
한편, 골프존문화재단은 올해 동안 ‘2024 골프존 이웃사랑 행복나눔’ 사업을 통해 지역사회 소외계층 지원에 총 1억 8천만 원을 후원했으며, 장애인 스포츠 활성화를 위한 ‘2024 장애인 골프 대축제’ 개최, 지역 문화예술 진흥을 위한 ‘대전 그리다, 꿈꾸다 전(展)’과 ‘자선골프대회’ 등 다양한 지원사업을 펼쳤다. 내년에도 골프존문화재단은 나눔과 배려의 경영이념을 바탕으로 한 후원사업을 지속적으로 이어갈 예정이다.
GOLFZONE Cultural Foundation delivers gifts to underprivileged children
On 19 December, Golf Zone Foundation (Chairman Kim Young-chan) held a successful ‘2024 Hope Happiness Sharing Gift Delivery Ceremony’ at Golf Zone Joy Maru in Daejeon to support underprivileged children's warm holiday season.
Since its establishment in 2010, GOLFZONE Cultural Foundation has held the ‘Hope Happiness Sharing’ event every year at the end of the year to support the dreams and hopes of underprivileged children in the local community. This year's event, which marked its 14th year, was attended by Park Young-joon, head of the Golf Zone Foundation, and Kim Hyun-ho, head of the Daejeon Volunteer Centre.
The gifts delivered at the event will be distributed to more than 2,800 children from 132 child welfare facilities and children's centres in Daejeon. The GOLFZONE Cultural Foundation's gifts consisted of practical items such as children's favourite toys, school supplies sets for the new school year, toothbrushes and other items for the holiday season. The gifts were donated by GOLFZONE New Dawn Group employees through their monthly salaries, adding to the meaning of sharing.
‘GOLFZONE Foundation continues to hold the Hope Happiness Sharing Event to relieve the emotional and cultural alienation of vulnerable people at the end of the year,’ said Kim Young-chan, Chairman of GOLFZONE Foundation. ’We hope that this sharing will provide another source of motivation and hope for the children, and we will continue to carry out meaningful social contribution activities in various fields.’
The event was organised by GOLFZONE Cultural Foundation in collaboration with the Daejeon Volunteer Centre, and sponsored by GOLFZONE and GOLFZONE Newdin Group affiliates.
Throughout this year, the Golf Zone Cultural Foundation has donated a total of KRW 180 million to support the underprivileged in the local community through the ‘2024 Golf Zone Neighbourly Love and Happiness Sharing’ project, hosted the ‘2024 Golf Festival for the Disabled’ to promote sports for the disabled, and conducted various support projects such as the ‘Daejeon Draw, Dream Exhibition’ and ‘Charity Golf Tournament’ to promote local culture and arts. Next year, Golf Zone Culture Foundation will continue its sponsorship programmes based on the management philosophy of sharing and caring.
