울릉군에 따르면 이날 기탁식에는 남한권 울릉군수, ㈜동해물류 기관 관계자들이 참석했으며, 기탁한 성금은 경북사회복지공동모금회로 접수 후 울릉군 관내 지역 주민들을 위해서 사용될 계획이다.
㈜동해물류은 지역 사회적 기업으로 지역경제 활성화와 일자리 창출을 주도하고 있으며 기업 내 ‘이사술술봉사단’을 구성하여 관내 저소득 취약계층의 이사를 돕는 등 다양한 나눔 봉사활동을 실천해 왔다.
남한권 울릉군수는 “지난 해에 이어 어려운 경기에도 지역과 이웃을 위한 성금을 기부해 주신 ㈜동해물류에 진심으로 감사드린다.”며 “전달 받은 성금이 지역주민들을 위해 값지게 사용될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
