HD현대오일뱅크가 최근 지속가능항공유(SAF)에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 HD현대오일뱅크의 SAF 사업실적 및 현황에 대한 정보를 1월 5일 공개했다.
HD현대오일뱅크는 국내 정유사 중 최초로 2024년 6월 일본 마루베니사를 통해 지속가능항공유(SAF)를 공급하며, 일본 ANA 항공사에 상업적으로 판매한 바 있다. 이는 SAF의 내수 및 수출 모든 채널에서 이루어진 국내 최초의 상업 판매로 주목받고 있다.
또한, HD현대오일뱅크는 유럽연합 인증을 받은 ISCC EU 방식의 제품을 수출하고 있으며, SAF 생산에 있어 두 가지 인증 방식이 존재하지만, 인증 방식에 따른 제품 품질에는 차이가 없다고 설명했다.
HD현대오일뱅크는 지속가능한 항공 연료 시장에서의 선도적인 역할을 지속적으로 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
HDHyundaiOilbank Announces Sustainable Aviation Fuel Business Status
In response to the growing interest in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), HD Hyundai Oil Bank released information on the performance and status of its SAF business on 5 January.
HDHB was the first Korean refinery to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) through Marubeni in Japan in June 2024, and sold it commercially to Japan's ANA airline. This is notable as the first commercial sale of SAF in Korea across both domestic and export channels.
In addition, HDHB exports ISCC EU-certified products, which are certified by the European Union, and explains that although there are two certification methods for SAF production, there is no difference in product quality based on the certification method.
HD Hyundai Oilbank plans to continue to strengthen its leading role in the sustainable aviation fuel market.
