브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차는 제네시스와 통합 개편한 모빌리티 구독 플랫폼 ‘현대 제네시스 셀렉션’을 출시하고, 고객 혜택을 강화한다고 22일 밝혔다.
현대차 구독 플랫폼(기존 현대 셀렉션)은 고객이 모바일 앱에서 현대차의 다양한 차량을 일 또는 월 단위로 원하는 만큼 대여할 수 있는 차량 구독 서비스로, 2019년부터 서비스를 시작해 작년 7월에 모바일앱과 상품을 전면 개편했다.
현대차는 기존 현대차와 제네시스로 나눴던 구독 플랫폼을 통합, 하나의 플랫폼에서 현대차의 다양한 차종뿐 아니라, 프리미엄 브랜드인 제네시스의 차종까지 이용할 수 있도록 고객 선택폭을 확대하고, 보다 고객 친화적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해 구독 플랫폼의 추가 개편에 나섰다. 기존 제네시스 구독 플랫폼(제네시스 스펙트럼)은 이달 31일부로 종료된다.
구독 플랫폼 개편을 통해 추가되는 제네시스 차종은 △GV80 △GV70 △G90 △G80 △G70 등 제네시스 브랜드의 핵심 5개 차종이다. 개편된 ‘현대 제네시스 셀렉션’을 통해 구독할 수 있는 차종은 기존 20개에서 25개로 늘었다.
우선적으로는 제네시스 5개 차종을 서울과 경기, 인천 지역에 월 구독 형태로 운영한다. 현대차는 향후 운영 차종과 지역, 구독 방식(일 또는 월) 등 서비스 제공 범위를 순차적으로 확대할 예정이다.
또한, 기존 제네시스 구독 플랫폼에서는 제공되지 않고 현대차의 차종에만 적용되던 요금 및 결제 관련 고객 혜택을 추가된 제네시스 차종에도 동일하게 적용해 제네시스 차종을 구독하고자 하는 고객들의 편의를 높였다.
