브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 방위사업청이 한국형 차기 구축함(KDDX) 사업을 수의계약으로 진행 할 수도 있다는 소식이 전해지면서 또 다시 잡음이 일고 있다.
방산업계에 따르면 방사청은 오는 3월 17일 예정된 사업분과위원회에서 KDDX의 상세설계 및 선도함 건조 방식에 대한 결정을 내릴 계획이다.
지난 달 한화오션과 HD현대중공업이 산업통상자원부의 심사를 통해 KDDX 방산업체로 복수 지정됐다. 이에 따라 사업분과위에서는 수의계약, 경쟁입찰, 공동설계 등 3가지 방식 중 하나를 결정한다.
함정 건조 사업은 개념설계→기본설계→상세설계→선도함 건조→후속함 건조 순서로 진행된다.
일반적으로는 기존 관행에 따라 함정의 기본설계를 수행한 업체가 방산업체로 지정된 후 상세설계와 선도함 건조를 이어갔다. 단, 별도의 시제품 제작이 어려운 함정 건조의 특성을 고려한 편의적 관행일 뿐, 의무사항은 아니다.
