[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 ‘스마트 공간정보플랫폼 구축사업’이 완료됨에 따라 소속 공무원을 대상으로 플랫폼 시연회를 시청 문화강좌실에서 개최했다고 17일 밝혔다.
이번 구축사업은 고정밀 항공사진, 연속지적도, 도로 등의 공간정보를 행정 내부에 제공해 합리적 의사결정이 이루어질 수 있도록 지원하는 공간정보플랫폼을 새롭게 구축하는 사업이다.
시는 기존에 ‘웹지리정보시스템’을 운영하며 해당 역할을 수행해 왔지만 정해진 정보와 환경만을 제공하는 폐쇄형 시스템으로써의 한계가 있었다.
시는 이번 신규 플랫폼 구축사업을 통해 각 부서가 보유하고 있는 공간정보를 필요에 따라 직접 등록하고, 다른 부서와 공유하면서 업무효율 향상을 지원할 수 있도록 진행했다.
시는 이번 시연회를 통해 플랫폼에서 새롭게 제공되는 정보와 기능을 소개함과 동시에 사용자 교육을 실시하여 일선에서 즉각적인 활용이 가능하도록 할 방침이다.
늑히 시는 내부의견수렴 및 자료 정비를 거친 후 대 시민용 공간정보플랫폼을 오는 5월에 오픈할 예정이다.
진주시 관계자는 “활용되지 않는 공간정보를 플랫폼에 통합 구축해 플랫폼 사용을 활성화하고 행정효율을 향상시켜, 합리적 의사결정을 지원할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
