[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 관내 이비인후과의원 6곳과 공항소음 피해지역 청력검사 지원사업을 위한 업무협약을 1일 체결했다.
이에 따라 김해시는 청력검사 본인부담금을 전액 지원하고 협약 의료기관은 기본, 정밀검사를 제공한다.
기본, 정밀검사 외 검사와 약제비, 서류 발급 비용은 대상자가 부담한다.
기본검사는 언어 청력검사, 순음 청력검사, 임피던스 청력검사 등이며 기본검사 후 의사의 이상 소견 진단 시 청각장애 진단을 위한 정밀검사를 받게 된다.
청력에 이상이 있는 공항소음 피해지역 주민들은 소음성 난청 등을 조기에 발견할 수 있는 기회로 정밀검사를 통해 청각장애 진단을 받은 사람은 국민건강보험으로부터 장애인 보조기기 급여 등의 혜택이 주어진다.
이번 사업은 김포국제공항에 인접한 서울특별시 양천구와 경기도 부천시에서 2023년부터 시행해 온 공항소음 피해지역 청력검사 지원사업의 전국 확산 사례로 김해시는 전국 세 번째로 해당 사업을 도입했다.
김해시는 타 지자체의 선행 사례를 면밀히 분석하고 지역 실정에 맞는 맞춤형 청력검사 체계를 구축함으로써 보다 실효성 있게 주민 건강을 지원한다.
올해 김해시는 예산 범위 내 약 600명 기본검사를 지원하고 이 중 이상 소견이 발견된 사업 대상자는 정밀검사를 추가로 지원한다.
김해시는 비행기 소음에 가장 많이 노출된 소음대책지역의 주민들을 우선적으로 선정하고 이후 소음대책 인근지역으로 지원 대상을 점차 확대해 나갈 방침이다.
김해시는 행정절차를 거쳐 4월 말 청력검사 지원사업 공고를 통해 사업 대상자를 모집할 계획이다.
제종수 김해시 도시계획과장은 “이번 사업은 공항소음 피해지역 주민들의 건강권을 실질적으로 보호하기 위한 중요한 첫걸음”이라며 “앞으로도 공항소음 피해지역에 거주하는 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 건강복지정책을 지속적으로 발굴 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
