브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 나경원 국민의힘 의원은 11일 제21대 대통령 선거 출마를 공식 선언했다.
나경원 의원은 이날 국회 본관 앞 계단에서 가진 출마 선언식에서 "이번 대선의 본질은 체제 전쟁이다. 반자유·반헌법 세력에게 대한민국을 헌납할 것인가"라며 지지를 호소했다.
그는 "누가 이 거대한 악의 세력과 맞서 싸워 대한민국을 지켜낼 수 있겠나"라며 "누가 저 위험한 이재명 대표를 꺾고 국민에게 희망을 줄 수 있겠나. 자유민주주의 체제를 지키는 데 늘 앞장서 왔던 나경원이 할 수 있다"고 주장했다.
이어 "입법 권력에 이어 행정 권력마저 의회 독재 세력, 민주당에 넘어가게 된다면, 어떻게 되겠나. 진정한 민주당 독재 체제의 완성"이라며 "만약 이번 대선에서 우리 국민의힘이 재집권하더라도 여전히 소수여당으로서 무도한 거대 야당을 상대해야 한다. 의회를 알지 못하고 정치를 모르는 사람은 할 수 없다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "5선 국회의원 정치력으로 나경원이 할 수 있다"며 "거대 야당과 맞설 땐 맞서고, 얻을 것은 제대로 얻어낼 줄 알아야 한다. 정치 복원 반드시 해내겠다"고 강조했다.
