7일 오전 시청 국제의전실에서 진행된 협약식에는 박형준 시장과 '콜린 크룩스' 주한영국대사, 박성호 부산진해경제자유구역청장, '로날드 해든' 로얄러셀스쿨 부산캠퍼스 설립추진단장, '루신다 워커' 주한영국상공회의소장 등이 참석했다.
영국문화마을은 명지국제신도시 내에 조성될 영국 양식의 주거·문화·상업시설을 갖춘 복합문화·교육 공간으로, 단순 외국인 주거단지를 넘어 글로벌 문화교류와 국제 교육의 중심지로서 새로운 도시 모델을 제시할 예정이다.
