[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 12일 우시시 대표단이 지난 9일 김해서부문화센터에서 열린 김해시·군 통합 30주년 기념식에 참석해, 식전 행사로 두 도시간 국제교류 30주년을 함께 축하하며 아복(阿福)·아희(阿喜) 인형 제막식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이 자리에는 홍태용 김해시장과 시앤전위 우시시 외사판공실 부주임을 비롯한 우시시 대표단, 주부산중국총영사관 관계자 등이 참석했으며, 30년 우정을 기념해 우시시가 김해시에 대형 조형물 한 쌍을 기증했다.
김해시와 우시시는 1995년 12월 우호도시 협약을 시작으로 2005년 12월 자매도시 결연을 맺었다. 특히 지난 2023년 의생명-의료기기 협력 양해각서(MOU)를 체결하며 의생명 분야 교류 물꼬를 텄다. 우시시는 장쑤성에 있는 인구 750만 명의 첨단산업이 발달한 도시이다.
