[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시 공원과에 근무하는 서상진(55) 실무관이 지난 3~11일 인도 델리에서 열린 제23회 아시아팔씨름대회 마스터(40대)와 그랜드마스터(50대) 70㎏급 오른팔 부문서 각각 우승을 거머줬다. 이로써 한국인 최초로 2관왕을 차지했다.
서 실무관은 대한팔씨름연맹(KAF) 소속 한국 대표로 15개국, 900여 명의 선수가 참가한 이번 대회에 출전해 대회장에 애국가를 두 번 울려 퍼지게 했다.
그는 이번 대회 총 5개 부문에 출전해 마스터 70㎏급 오른팔 1위, 왼팔 2위, 그랜드마스터 70㎏급 오른팔 1위, 왼팔 2위로 금메달 2개, 은메달 2개를 목에 걸었다.
국내 대회를 평정하고 2009년부터 우즈베키스탄, 미국, 폴란드, 헝가리, 중국, 인도, 불가리아 등지서 열린 아시아, 세계대회에 꾸준히 출전해 오고 있으며 2018년 카자흐스탄 아시아대회서 한국인 최초로 우승(마스터 70㎏급)을 차지했다.
