(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 9일, 학생들의 체육 활동 기회 확대와 건강한 성장을 지원하기 위해 ‘2025년 인천광역시교육감배 하이스타 3대3 농구리그’와 ‘2025 미들스타&하이스타 축구리그’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 하이스타 농구리그는 6월 6일부터 8일, 15일까지 총 4일간 인천시청소년수련관에서 열린다.
인천시교육청 주최, 인천시농구협회 주관으로 진행되며 남초 3팀, 남중 23팀, 여중 5팀, 남고 18팀 등 총 49개 팀이 참가해 조별 리그와 본선 토너먼트를 거쳐 우승팀을 가린다.
특히 여중팀 5개가 참여하며 여자농구 활성화에도 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
도성훈 교육감은 “하이스타 농구리그는 팀워크와 우정을 나누는 소중한 경험의 장”이라며, “1학교 1학생 1스포츠 실현을 위해 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 지난 6월 8일에는 인천축구전용경기장에서 열린 K리그2 부천전 홈경기와 함께 ‘2025 미들스타&하이스타 축구리그’ 발대식이 개최됐다.
이번 리그는 인천시교육청과 인천유나이티드가 공동주최하며, 미들스타 74개교, 하이스타 64개교 등 총 2,300여 명의 학생이 참여한다.
리그는 5월부터 10월까지 운영되며, 우승팀에게는 인천유나이티드가 해외 축구 연수 기회를 제공한다.
조건도 인천유나이티드 대표이사는 “리그가 학생들의 우정과 소통의 장이 되길 바라며, 미들스타&하이스타 리그가 인천을 대표하는 축제로 자리잡길 기대한다”고 말했다.
