(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구의회가 최근 구의회 의원연구단체인 2025 부평구 다문화 정책 연구회 “다문화”가 연구용역 착수보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
부평구의회에 따르면, 이날 보고회에는 허정미 대표의원(삼산2, 부개2·3동)을 비롯한 부평구의회 안애경 의장, 박영훈 의원, 손대중 의원과 관계 공무원이 참석하여 책임연구원의 연구용역 수행계획을 보고 받고, 향후 연구 방향과 내용에 대해 논의했다.
작년에 이어 2회차에 접어든 허정미 의원의 다문화 연구단체는 2024년 연구결과를 토대로 연구활동을 지속할 예정이며, 기초자치단체 차원에서 어려움을 겪고 있는 다문화 정책 개발을 집중적으로 연구하여 지역 특성을 반영한 다문화 특성화 사업을 발굴할 계획이다.
허정미 대표의원은 "다문화 사업 수행의 현장에서는 중앙정부의 획일화된 다문화 지원 정책에는 한계가 있는 것이 사실"이라며 "이번 연구단체 활동을 통해 부평구 지역 특성에 맞는 다문화 사업을 연구하고 현실에 부합한 정책을 제안하여 부평구의 다문화 수용성을 증대시키겠다"고 밝혔다.
