(브레이크뉴스인천 문관수 기자) 부천시가 14일, 유네스코 문학창의도시 사업의 하나로 운영 중인‘부천레지던시’ 프로그램을 통해, 2025년 해외 문학창의도시 레지던시에 참여할 부천 작가 2명을 최종 선정했다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, ‘부천레지던시’는 시가 2017년 유네스코 문학창의도시로 지정된 이후, 국내외 창의도시 작가에게 작업공간과 거주지를 제공해 창작에 전념할 수 있도록 2020년부터 운영 중인 창작 지원 프로그램이다.
특히, 해외레지던시는 부천에서 활동하는 작가를 해외 문학창의도시에 파견해, 현지 작가와 교류하며 창작활동을 할 수 있도록 지원하는 사업이다.
이에 부천시는 5월 공개모집과 심사를 통해 이동은(영화감독.작가, 퀘벡 레지던시 8월 20일부터 9월 16일까지), 노경무(영화감독.작가, 멜버른 레지던시 11월 10일부터 11월 23일까지) 2명의 작가를 선정했다.
선정된 작가들은 해외 문학창의도시 레지던시에 파견돼 현지 기관과 협력하며, 발표회와 워크숍 등 연계 프로그램을 통해 교류 및 창작활동을 펼치게 된다.
황승욱 부천시 문화정책과장은 “부천 작가의 해외레지던시 파견은 지역 작가가 국제 문학 현장과 직접 연결되는 중요한 계기가 될 것”이라며, “앞으로도 부천 작가들이 국제적으로 활동할 수 있도록 문학 교류 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
