【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원(이하 대구행복진흥원)이 폭력예방교육의 사각지대를 해소하기 위해 지역 유관기관과 손을 맞잡았다.
대구행복진흥원은 지난 14일, 달성군청소년센터를 비롯한 6개 기관과 ‘찾아가는 폭력예방교육’ 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.
이번 협약에는 대구생명의전화 대구상담소, 대구서구청소년상담복지센터, 수성기억학교, 은하수지역아동센터, 위드발달상담센터가 참여했다.
이를 통해 대구행복진흥원은 그동안 연간 3회에 한정되던 교육 제공 횟수를 최대 10회까지 확대 운영할 수 있게 됐다.
교육은 ▲성폭력 ▲가정폭력 ▲성매매 ▲성희롱 ▲디지털 성범죄 ▲교제폭력 등 총 6개 주제를 중심으로 구성되며, 아동부터 청소년, 노인까지 폭넓은 연령대를 대상으로 맞춤형 프로그램이 진행될 예정이다.
이에 따라 각 기관은 보다 다양한 계층에게 폭력예방교육을 실질적으로 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
배기철 대구행복진흥원 이사장은 “이번 협약은 지역 곳곳에서 일상적으로 폭력 예방 인식을 확산할 수 있는 기틀이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 대구 시민이 보다 안전하고 행복한 환경에서 살아갈 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Accordingly, each organization is expected to be able to provide practical violence prevention education to a wider range of classes.
Bae Ki-cheol, the chairman of the Daegu Happiness Promotion Agency, said, “This agreement will serve as a foundation for spreading awareness of violence prevention on a daily basis throughout the region,” and added, “We will continue to actively support Daegu citizens so that they can live in a safer and happier environment.”
