이번 개점은 어르신들에게 안정적이고 지속 가능한 일자리를 제공하기 위한 중구의 노력의 일환이다.
4호점은 대구 중구청이 대구중구시니어클럽에 생활문화센터 일부 공간을 무상으로 제공하면서 성사됐다. 공공자산을 사회적으로 환원하는 긍정적인 사례로 주목받고 있다.
‘마실김밥’은 대구중구시니어클럽이 운영하는 대표적인 노인 일자리 사업으로, 앞서 개점한 1~3호점을 통해 지역 주민에게 익숙한 분식 브랜드로 자리매김해 왔다. 동시에 어르신들에게는 새로운 일자리 모델로 평가받고 있다.
류규하 중구청장은 “이번 4호점 개점은 공공시설을 활용한 노인 일자리 창출의 모범 사례”라며 “급변하는 고령화 시대에 어르신들의 사회 참여를 넓히고 소득 증대를 지원할 수 있도록 행정적·제도적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
