[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 23일 오전 7시 30분 김해상공회의소 대회의실에서 관내 중학생 120명이 참여한 가운데 2025년 미래주역 꿈 찾기 진로탐색 캠프 발대식을 갖고 2박 3일간의 진로캠프 일정을 시작했다.
발대식에서 학생들은 진로 탐색에 최선을 다할 것을 선언했으며, 자리를 함께한 홍태용 시장, 선재장학재단 서재욱 SB선보 부사장을 비롯한 참석자들의 응원 속에 서울행 버스에 올랐다.
김해시와 선재장학재단(이사장 최상식)이 주최, 주관하는 이번 행사는 관내 중학생을 대상으로 진행하는 진로체험 프로그램이다. 선재장학재단은 김해 한림 출신인 최금식 선보그룹 회장이 지역인재 육성에 기여하고자 2016년 설립한 비영리 공익법인이다. 김해시와 함께하는 이번 캠프 외에도 모교인 한림중학교 후배들을 위해 매년 진로체험 활동을 지원하고 있다.
올해로 4회째인 이번 캠프는 관내 중학생 120명과 대학생 멘토 8명 등 140여명의 인원이 참여해 서울대 탐방, 문화·과학 체험, 진로로드맵 작성 등 실질적이고 폭넓은 프로그램으로 학생들이 보고, 듣고, 체험하며 스스로의 진로를 구체화할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다.
또 김해시 출신 대학생들이 멘토로 참여해 후배들과 자신의 진로 경험을 나누며 동행자로서 역할을 해 선후배 간 소통과 공감의 장이 될 것으로 기대된다.
서재욱 부사장은 “앞으로도 청소년들이 다양한 진로를 탐색할 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
홍태용 시장도 “학생들이 더 넓은 세상과 새로운 문화를 경험하며 스스로의 꿈을 구체화하길 바란다”며 “청소년들이 자신의 가능성과 만나는 계기를 만들기 위해 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 개발해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
