[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 남해군이 지난 7일 중국 간쑤성 둔황시 대표단을 초청해 자매도시 간 관광·문화사업 교류 협력 강화 논의 및 주요 시책 현장 시찰 등 우호 교류 활동을 진행했다.
남해군과 둔황시는 지난 2005년 공무원 상호 파견 협정을 시작으로, 2007년 자매결연을 체결한 이후, 관광·문화·행정 등 다양한 분야에서 지속적인 교류와 협력 관계를 이어오고 있다.
이번 방문에는 왕옌췬 둔황시 당 서기를 비롯한 대표단 4명이 함께 했다.
대표단은 첫 일정으로 상주은모래비치와 설리스카이워크를 방문해 남해군의 주요 관광 자원을 둘러보고, 하계 휴가철을 맞이한 남해군의 관광 현황을 청취했다.
이후 진행된 간담회에서는 양 지역 간 우호 협력 확대 방안이 논의됐다.
20년 가까이 이어지고 있는 파견공무원 제도의 내실화에 대한 의견을 나누며 실질적인 협력 강화 방안도 모색했다.
또한 남해군 대표 관광지인 독일마을을 찾아, 파독 광부·간호사의 이주 역사와 지역 재생 사례를 청취하며, 지역의 정체성과 문화 자산에 대해 깊은 관심을 보였다.
남해군 관계자는 “이번 방문은 양 도시 간 신뢰와 우정을 한층 더 강화하는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며, “앞으로도 다양한 분야에서 교류의 폭을 넓히고, 상호 발전적이고 지속가능한 협력 관계를 만들어 나가겠다"고 말했다.
