이재명 대통령이 8.15광복절 특사를 단행하고 국민 임명식이란 이름을 빌어 정식취임식을 개최한다. 광복절 특사로 조국, 정경심, 최강욱, 윤미향, 은수미 등등 정치인 27명의 사면복권은 벌써 발표 했다. 광복절 행사를 끝내고 저녁 7시 반부터 6월4일 취임식이 너무 간략했으므로 국민이 임명장을 대통령에게 주는 희한한 세리머니도 하기로 했다. 이 두 가지 사안이 뉴스를 타자 이재명 대통령에 대한 지지율이 60%대 중반에서 56%로 뚝 떨어졌다. 머지않아 40%대를 목격할지 다시 오를지 한번 두고 보기로 하자.
김종인 박사에게 "조국특사를 어떻게 보느냐"고 물어본즉 "대통령취임 두 달만에 내편이라고 형기 절반도 못 채운 죄인을 풀어주는 게 어딨냐?"고 대번에 쏘아부쳤다. 우파에 비해 좌파들은 권력에 관한한 훨씬 기술자들이다. 85세의 김종인 박사가 단번에 역정을 내며 반대하는 걸 이재명의 기술자들이 왜 간파하지 못하겠는가? 내가 대통령실에 물어보는, 불과 얼마 전까지만 해도 "조국 사면은 아직은 시기상조 "라는 답이 돌아왔다. 조국을 풀어줘 내년 지자체 선거에서 민주당과 한판 붙는 지역이 나오고 그가 차기 대선주자로 부상돼 언론에 자주 나오면 그만큼 이재명은 가려져 좋을 게 하나도 없다는 셈법을 들었다. 그런데 며칠 새 사정이 바뀐 것이다. 그게 뭘까?
지난 더불어민주당 대표 선거에서 용산은 훨씬 말을 잘 듣는 박찬대 당대표 후보를 다소 밀었다고 한다. 그런데 거의 반타작으로 정청래 당 대표 후보에게 밀리고 말았다. 이재명 대통령이 가장 많이 생각하는 포인트는 언제나 선거다. 선거에서 지고 임기 후 정권 재창출에 실패하면 재판을 받아야하기 때문일 것이다. 민주당 진영에는 친문세력도 꽤 잠복해 있고 틈만 나면 준동한다.
이번 8.15 제2취임식에 문재인 전 대통령의 참석이 필요해, 정무수석을 보냈더니 언제나 조국이 아픈 손가락인 문재인은 "조국을 풀어주라"고 신신 당부했다. 조국혁신당은 대선 때 후보를 내지 않아 이재명이 당선된 만큼 공동정권이란 지분 몫을 가지고 있다는 채권의식이 팽배하다. 그것에 대한 청구권이 조국사면이다. 특사를 안 해주면 조국당과 친문이 내년 지자체 선거 때 큰 알력요소로 작용할 것이란 압력을 가한 것이다. 진보 교육감출신의 한 인사는 옥중의 조국에게 편지를 보내 "나(조국)는 이번에 풀어주지 말라, 더 명분 있고 훌륭한 양심수를 사면하라, 나는 이번에는 양보하겠다는 성명을 내라. 그러면 국민들도 조국을 다시 볼 것이며 정치적으로 한 단계 점프할 것"이라 썼다고 한다. 조국이 편지를 받고도 모르는 척 했는지 "감방에서 보낸 레터"는 없었다.
이번 사면은 정청래 대표가 갑자기 용산의 지원을 꺾은 힘을 과시함으로써 차라리 조국을 띄워 정청래의 기세를 꺾을 필요가 생겼다는 시각도 있을 법 하다. 정청래 당 대표도 대권 꿈이 있을 터이므로, 장차 양당합당까지 내다보고 조국을 경쟁카드로 내세워 이이제이(以夷制夷) 하자는 심모원려(深謀遠慮)다.
조국이 감방에 간 것은 아빠 찬스롤 이용한 자녀 입시비리가 가장 무거운 죄인데, 이것은 공정을 따지는 2030세대에센 용납할 수 없는 범죄다. 엄청난 도덕적 타락이고 부패다. 조국을 사면하면 2030세대의 반발이 크다는 여론조사가 이미 나와 있었다.
권력의 기술자들은 조국ㄷ특사를 불허했을때 차변대변에 나타나는 예상숫자를 아마 골백번은 더 계산했을게다. 그런 다음 저도에 휴가 간 대통령에게 보고했을 것이다. 조국의 사면은 남는 장사이나 최종 단안을 내려주십사.... 이번에 안 풀어주면 어차피 성탄절 아니면 내년 3.1절 특사로 풀어줘야 할 것인데 정치적 장난 어쩌고 하는 부작용이 더 견디기 어렵고 무엇보다도 계속 언론보도거리를 영산해 국정에 집중하기 어려워 죽도 밥도 안될 걸로 보고 최종단안을 내린 속셈이 있을 수 있다
윤미향은 위안부 돈을 떼먹고도 큰소리치는 진상으로 여론을 더 망치는 민주당의 X우먼임에도 풀어준 것은 그의 남편 존재 때문이라는 말이 들려왔다. 성남 동부연합의 핵심적 존재라는 것이다. 어쨌든 조국 윤미향 등의 이번 특사는 이대통령의 지지율에 악재라는 예측은 충분히 각오하고 했을 것이라고 한다. 어차피 맞아야할 매라고 봤다는 것이다.
그런데 광복절 제2취임식은 또 뭔가. 대선 다음날 취임식이 약식이었던 정식이었든 취임식을 했으면 그걸로 땡! 아닌가? 나는 한국사회에서 이름께나 있는 셀럽들 10여명에게 국민임명식을 어떻게 생각하느냐고 물어본즉 찬성여론은 하나도 발견하지 못했다. 무슨 뚱딴지같은 짓이냐는 거다. 언론에는 이명박 전 대통령이 광복절특사 반대표시로 2취임식 불참을 통보했다고 썼는데, 진실은 그 결정이 난 순간 이명박 박근혜 모두 안가겠다고 했다한다. 광복절 특사가 부도덕하고 내편 범죄정치인 특혜로 보고 제1야당인 국민의 힘이 제2취임식에 불참키로 함에 따라 축제에 재를 뿌린 격이 됐다.
제2 취임식= 국민임명식에 야당(국힘당, 이준석당)도 안오고 민노총도 안오고 이명박 박근혜도 안 온다니 반쪽짜리가 돼버려 당국은 만만한 재벌총수들을 대거 동원했다. 요새 산재 사건으로 포스코 건설의 면허취소 가능성 거론되며 재벌들은 모조리 건설사를 거느리고 있어 문제가 생길까봐 재벌총수들의 간댕이가 콩알만하게 뽈아 붙었다. 노랑 봉투법을 하지 말아달란 말은 한마디도 못하고 제2취임식이 노력 봉사하는 신세가 됐다. 폼 나게 밥 먹는 외교사절단은 오라면 물론 우르르 몰려들게고, 취임 2개월 반만에 국민에게 공돈 나눠주고, 윤석열 부부도 구속하고, 민주당 진영의 숙원사업이었던 노동자농민, 방송법등도 통과시키고, 검찰 언론 사법개혁도 내손 안에 들었다는 승리의 잔치를 촛불 켜던 밤에 빛의 혁명 완성됐다는 선언잔치가 될지도 모르겠다. 역사에는 분명히 기록될 것이다. 이를 국민이 어찌 볼지. 그것은 여론지지율로 곧 반영될 것이다.
