[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산문화재단은 2025 문화정책 네트워크 세미나 '궁리정담(窮理情談)'을 오는 29일(금) 오후 2시, 부산 수영구 도모헌 다할 강연장에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.
''궁리정담'은 부산문화재단 정책기획센터가 주관하는 문화정책 교류 프로그램으로, 지역 예술인과 시민이 함께 국내외 문화예술 현안을 공유하고 다양한 의견을 나누기 위해 마련된 세미나다. 회차별 주제와 장소에 따라 강연, 대담, 포럼 등 다양한 형식으로 운영되며, 지역 중심의 문화정책 담론 형성을 목표로 하고 있다.
이번 제3회 세미나는 ‘AI x Art: 새로운 창작의 시대, 지역문화예술과 인공지능의 공진화’라는 주제로 열린다. 인공지능 기술이 문화예술 분야에 어떻게 접목되고 있으며, 이에 따라 예술가와 기술자, 정책 전문가들이 어떤 방식으로 협업할 수 있을지를 모색하는 자리다. 특히 AI 시대의 예술 창작 가능성과 지역문화예술의 정책적 대응 방안에 대한 심도 깊은 논의가 이뤄질 전망이다.
1부 주제발제에서는 이수화 서울대학교 빅데이터혁신융합대학 연구교수가 첫 번째 연사로 나선다. ‘AI × ART BUSAN: 격동의 도시, 새로운 파도를 그리다’를 주제로, 부산이 지닌 도시 고유의 ‘데이터-DNA’를 활용해 시대정신(Zeitgeist)을 담은 독창적이고 진정성 있는 AI 기반 예술을 창조하는 방안을 제시한다.
이어지는 두 번째 발제에서는 김경훈 코어닷투데이 대표가 ‘AI, 예술을 만나다: 기술에서 경험으로, 상상에서 현실로’라는 제목으로, 인공지능이 단순한 창작 보조를 넘어 예술가와 협업하고 관객의 경험을 확장시키는 도구로 진화하고 있는 현황을 콘텐츠 산업 현장의 생생한 사례를 통해 설명할 예정이다.
2부에서는 종합토론이 이어진다. 좌장은 허남영 국립부산과학관 전시교육본부장이 맡으며, 앞선 발표자 2인과 함께 지역의 뉴미디어 아티스트 강시라, 디지털 아티스트 김봉관이 참여해 토론을 펼친다. 이들은 예술과 기술의 융합, 지역 문화정책의 방향, 국내외 동향 등 실질적인 현장의 쟁점들을 중심으로 자유롭고 깊이 있는 대화를 이어갈 예정이다.
오재환 대표이사는 “궁리정담은 변화하는 문화예술 환경 속에서 지역이 주체적으로 대응하고 새로운 상상을 펼치는 데 의미가 있다”며 “특히 이번 행사는 예술과 기술을 동시에 조망하며, AI 시대 문화정책의 미래를 다각적으로 모색하는 기회가 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

[Here’s the English version of the article] Busan Foundation for Culture to Host Cultural Policy Seminar on ‘AI x Art’ – Exploring the Future of Art and Technology
The Busan Foundation for Culture (CEO Oh Jae-hwan) announced that it will host the third session of the 2025 Cultural Policy Network Seminar, Gungri Jeongdam (窮理情談), on Friday, August 29 at 2:00 PM. The event will take place at the Dahal Lecture Hall in Domohon, Suyeong-gu, Busan.
Gungri Jeongdam is a cultural policy exchange program organized by the foundation’s Policy Planning Center. It is designed as a platform to share domestic and international cultural and artistic issues with local artists and citizens, and to foster open dialogue. Each session is held in various formats—lectures, conversations, forums—depending on the topic and venue, aiming to encourage policy discourse rooted in the local context.
The third session, titled “AI x Art: The Era of New Creativity – Coevolution of Regional Arts and Artificial Intelligence,” will explore how AI technology is being integrated into the arts. Artists, technologists, and experts will gather to examine the creative potential of art in the age of AI and discuss strategic policy responses to these developments in the context of regional culture.
The first presentation of Part 1 will be delivered by Dr. Suhwa Lee, a research professor at Seoul National University's College of Big Data Innovation and Convergence. Under the theme “AI × ART BUSAN: A City in Flux, Painting New Waves,” she will propose a vision for how Busan can utilize its unique "data-DNA" to create AI-based art that is original, authentic, and reflective of the contemporary zeitgeist.
The second presentation will be given by Kyung-hoon Kim, CEO of Core.Today, under the title “When AI Meets Art: From Technology to Experience, From Imagination to Reality.” He will explain how AI is evolving beyond simply assisting in production to collaborating with creators and expanding audience experiences, using real-world examples from the content industry.
Part 2 of the seminar will feature a comprehensive panel discussion moderated by Nam-young Heo, Director of Exhibition and Education at the National Science Museum of Busan. Joining the discussion will be the two earlier speakers as well as local new media artist Sira Kang and digital artist Bongkwan Kim. The panel will address practical challenges and issues encountered by creators and technologists, focusing on the convergence of science, art, and technology, policy directions for regional culture, and global trends.
Oh Jae-hwan, CEO of the Busan Foundation for Culture, stated, “Gungri Jeongdam serves as an opportunity for the local community to proactively respond to and imagine within a rapidly changing cultural and artistic landscape. I hope this event will become a meaningful platform for exploring the future of cultural policy in the AI era from multiple perspectives, while bridging art and technology.”
