충남 청양군(군수 김돈곤)이 오는 9월 19일부터 21일까지 열리는 제26회 청양 고추·구기자 축제의 성공 개최를 위해 막바지 준비에 박차를 가하고 있다.
군은 지난 27일 군청 대회의실에서 이동수 추진위원장을 비롯한 축제 추진위원회 위원과 군청 실·과장 등 60여 명이 참석한 가운데 최종 추진상황 보고회를 열고 세부 계획을 점검했다.
올해 축제는 전년보다 한층 강화된 프로그램과 공간 구성으로 차별화를 시도한다. 특히 음식과 체험, 전시, 공연 등 전 부문에 걸쳐 변화를 꾀해 방문객 만족도를 높이는 데 주력한다.
가장 눈에 띄는 부분은 먹거리 공간이다. 지난해보다 9개 늘어난 부스를 운영하며, 다양한 음식과 특색 메뉴를 선보인다. 또 푸드코트 형식의 공동 취식장을 마련해 관람객 편의를 높이고, 모든 음식 부스에 다회용기를 도입해 친환경 축제의 모범을 보여줄 계획이다.
