[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산영상위원회(운영위원장 강성규)가 오는 9월 20일부터 23일까지 벡스코 제2전시장에서 열리는 '2025 아시아콘텐츠&필름마켓(ACFM)'에서 아시아 주요 프로듀서들의 기획·개발 프로젝트 18편을 공식 발표한다.
이는 아시아 영화인들의 글로벌 진출을 돕고, 부산을 영화 비즈니스의 중심지로 만들기 위한 노력의 일환이다.
A+B 프로젝트: 아시아 영화인, 부산을 만나다
2023년부터 시작된 'A+B 프로젝트'는 아시아와 부산 영화인 간의 교류를 목표로 한다. 올해는 일본, 말레이시아계 중국, 홍콩 출신 프로듀서들의 프로젝트 3편이 초청됐다. 이 프로젝트들은 국제 영화제에서 이미 주목받은 작품들로, 사전 비즈니스 미팅 신청만 70여 건에 달하는 등 뜨거운 관심을 받고 있다.

오는 22일에는 부산아시아영화학교(AFiS) 교육생 15명이 직접 무대에 올라 14개국에서 기획·개발된 15편의 장편 프로젝트를 발표하는 'AFiS 프로젝트 피칭'이 열린다. 심리, 초자연, SF, 로맨스, 블랙 코미디 등 다양한 장르의 작품들이 선보여질 예정이다. 피칭 우수작에는 대만콘텐츠진흥원(TAICCA) 후원으로 미화 3,000달러의 상금이 수여된다.

참가자들은 'KOFIC×BFC 네트워킹 해피아워'에 참석하여 국내외 영화 관계자들과 활발한 교류를 이어갈 예정이다. 부산영상위원회는 "아시아 영화인들의 동반 성장과 글로벌 진출을 적극 지원하여 실질적인 성과 창출에 주력할 계획"이라며, 이번 행사를 통해 부산이 글로벌 영화 비즈니스의 중심 거점으로 자리매김하기를 기대한다고 전했다.

Nakanishi Mai's Child, Uninvited: A psychological drama by a Japanese director selected for the Toronto International Film Festival Directors' Lab.
Cheng Thim Kian and Shin Ki-rin's Maiden Home: A family drama co-produced by an award-winning Malaysian-Chinese director from the Locarno Film Festival and a director who won at the Seoul International Women's Film Festival.
Cheung Wai Yu's Mama Mia Let Me Go!: A family comedy debut film by a Hong Kong-based director who won the 2024 AFiS Special Award.
The BFC stated, "By expanding business meetings to include domestic and international production companies and actor management agencies, we plan to accelerate efforts to attract more location shoots to Busan based on these compelling stories."
🌍AFiS Project Pitching: 15 Feature Films Revealed to the World
On September 22, the 'AFiS Project Pitching' will be held, where 15 students from the Busan Asian Film School (AFiS) will present their feature film projects from 14 different countries. The works cover a wide range of genres, including psychological thrillers, supernatural, sci-fi, romance, and black comedy. The best pitching project will receive the TAICCA AWARD, a prize of $3,000 sponsored by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency.

Participants will also attend the 'KOFIC×BFC Networking Happy Hour' to connect with film professionals from around the world. The BFC stated, "We plan to actively support the mutual growth and global expansion of Asian filmmakers to generate tangible results." The commission hopes that through this event, the Asian film industry's exchange and ecosystem will be further expanded, solidifying Busan's position as a central hub for the global film business.
