[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 지난해 대한민국 오페라 대상 수상단체인 ‘경상오페라단’ 창작오페라가 합천에서 선보인다.
오는 26일 오후 7시 30분, 27일 오후 4시 양일간 합천문화예술회관에서 합천군 창작오페라 “애플수박”공연이 펼쳐진다.
이번 공연은 합천군과 (사)경상오페라단이 주최하고, 경상남도와 경남문화예술진흥원이 후원한다.
관람은 선착순 200명에 한하여 무료로 진행되며, 포스터 내 QR코드를 통한 사전 신청(현장관람 가능)으로 군민 누구나 관람가능하다.
창작오페라 애플수박은 합천의 한 작은 마을을 배경으로 한다. 수박 맛으로 유명한 마을에서 그 비밀을 둘러싼 마을이장, 수박 장인, 외지 상인 등이 얽히며 펼쳐지는 웃음과 해프닝을 담았다. 극은 수박의 특별함이 결국 자연이 준 선물임을 깨닫게 되면서 따뜻한 메시지를 전한다.
이번 작품은 경남문화예술진흥원의 공모사업인 2025년 공연장 상주단체 육성지원사업에 선정되어 추진되는 사업으로, 문화 소외지역 공연장 활성화와 지역 공연예술 저변 확대에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
한편, 이번 공연을 맡은 경상오페라단은 ‘2024년 대한민국 오페라 대상’을 수상한 역량 있는 단체다.
