브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 맥도날드 서울역점이 약 한 달간의 리뉴얼을 마치고 26일 새 단장한 매장을 공식 오픈했다. 서울역점은 국내 최대 교통 허브인 서울역에 위치해 여행객, 직장인, 군인 등 다양한 고객이 방문하는 상징적 매장으로, 이번 리뉴얼은 방문객 특성에 맞춘 서비스 강화에 초점을 맞췄다.
특히 모바일 선주문 서비스 ‘M오더’ 고객을 위한 별도 픽업 공간을 마련해 피크 타임에도 메뉴 수령 대기 시간을 단축했다. 편의성 강화를 위해 캐리어 보관이 가능한 스탠딩 테이블 공간을 확대했으며, 주방을 오픈형으로 설계해 고객이 조리 과정을 쉽게 확인할 수 있도록 했다.
맥도날드 관계자는 “서울역점은 하루 수많은 고객이 찾는 상징적 매장인 만큼, 이번 리뉴얼로 이동 중에도 빠르고 편리하게 맥도날드를 즐길 수 있도록 했다”며 “향상된 서비스로 더 많은 고객에게 기분 좋은 순간을 선사하겠다”고 말했다.
리뉴얼 오픈 하루 전인 25일에는 ‘행복의 버거’ 캠페인을 진행, 철도 직원과 미화원, 보안요원 등 서울역 관계자 400여 명에게 맥모닝과 커피를 전달하며 감사와 응원의 마음을 전했다.
또한 추석을 맞아 26일과 27일 양일간 오후 2시부터 세트 메뉴 구매 고객 선착순 각 1,000명에게 ‘춘식이 보냉백’을 증정하는 감사 이벤트도 진행된다.
