파주시는 운정5동과 운정6동 행정복지센터 건립을 위한 착공식을 10월 15일 개최하고 본격적인 공사에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.
이날 착공식은 오전 11시 운정5동 동패동 1692번지, 오후 3시 운정6동 동패동 512-4번지에서 각각 진행됐다.

행사에는 김경일 파주시장, 박대성 파주시의회 의장, 지역 주민 등 100여 명이 참석해 행정복지센터 건립의 첫 발을 함께 내디뎠다.
운정5동 행정복지센터는 총 사업비 262억 원이 투입되며, 연면적 5,621㎡, 지하 1층·지상 4층 규모로 조성된다.
1층에는 종합민원실, 2층에는 진로체험지원센터, 3·4층에는 주민자치공간과 다목적강당, 휴게실 등이 마련될 예정이다. 준공은 2027년 6월로 계획돼 있다.
운정6동 행정복지센터는 총 사업비 288억 원이 투입되며, 연면적 5,377㎡ 규모로 지하 2층, 지상 4층으로 건립된다.
1층에는 종합민원실이, 2층에는 청년활동 거점 공간인 ‘청년공간’이 들어서며, 3·4층에는 주민자치공간과 다목적강당, 휴게실 등이 조성된다.
