일산소방서가 화재 시 주민의 생명과 직결되는 소방시설의 기능 확보를 위해 '소방시설 등에 대한 불법행위 신고포상제'를 적극 홍보하고 나섰다.
4일 일산소방서에 따르면, 이번 제도는 '소방시설 등에 대한 불법행위 신고포상제 운영 조례' 개정에 따른 것으로, 도민의 자발적 신고를 활성화하고 불법행위에 대한 경각심을 높여 주민 안전을 강화하는 데 목적을 두고 있다.

신고 대상이 되는 불법행위는 △소화펌프 고장 상태 방치 △수신기 경보설비 임의조작 △소화배관 소화수 차단 △비상구 및 방화문 폐쇄·훼손 △피난시설 적치물 설치 등이다.
불법행위를 목격한 시민은 48시간 이내에 신청서를 작성해 관할 소방서에 제출하면 된다.
신고 내용이 사실로 확인될 경우 1건당 5만원의 포상금이 지역화폐로 지급된다.
특히 이번 조례 개정으로 월 지급 한도가 10건으로 확대됐으며, 초과 시에는 월 1회에 한해 포상물품 지급이 가능하도록 제도가 보완됐다.
권웅 일산소방서장은 "소방시설은 화재 시 생명을 지키는 최후의 안전장치"라며 "도민 여러분의 적극적인 신고가 곧 안전한 일산을 만드는 힘이 된다"고 말했다.
