전달식에는 공단 김용완 부이사장을 비롯해 경주시청년센터, 청년창업기업, 아동복지시설 대자원 관계자 등이 참석했다.
이번 지원금은 공단이 지난 9월 20일 경주문화관 1918 일대에서 열린 제6회 경주시 청년의 날 행사에서 경주시·경주시청년센터·청년창업기업들과 함께 운영한 착한소비 판매부스를 통해 마련된 기부금 400만 원이다.
기부금 모금에는 경주지역 청년 창업기업 10곳—㈜태극사계, 성림조형원 사회적협동조합, 우수분식, 황오바오, 사계돈, 오월애 마음을 담은 공방, 조흔와이너리, 나폴나폴프리마켓, 딥인투네이처, 나봉상점—과 경주시청년센터가 함께 참여해 의미를 더했다.
한국원자력환경공단은 지난해부터 아동복지시설 대자원·성애원과 업무협약(MOU)을 맺고 자립준비청년 지원사업을 추진하고 있다. 이를 통해 진로설계, 취업 준비에 필요한 NCS 및 면접 교육, 금융기초교육, 보이스피싱 예방교육, 심리상담 등 실질적인 자립 역량 강화 프로그램을 제공하고 있다.
조성돈 이사장은 “자립준비청년들이 자신의 적성과 강점에 맞는 일자리를 찾고 건강한 사회 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 공공기관의 책무를 다하겠다”고 말했다.

KORIA (Chairman Cho Sung-don) held a ceremony at its headquarters on the 6th to deliver support funds to young people preparing for self-reliance.

This donation, amounting to 4 million won, was raised through a sales booth operated by the KORIA in collaboration with the city of Gyeongju, the Gyeongju Youth Center, and youth entrepreneurship companies at the 6th Gyeongju Youth Day event held at the Gyeongju Cultural Center 1918 on September 20th.
The fundraising event was further enriched by the participation of ten local youth entrepreneurs—Taegeuk Sagye Co., Ltd., Seonglim Art Center Social Cooperative, Woosoo Bunsik, Hwang Oh Bao, Sagyedon, Ohwollae Heartful Workshop, Joheun Winery, Napol Napol Free Market, Deep Into Nature, and Nabong Store—as well as the Gyeongju City Youth Center.
Since last year, the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KOREA) has been promoting a support program for young people preparing for independence through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with child welfare facilities Daejawon and Seongaewon. This program provides practical programs to strengthen self-reliance, including career planning, NCS (National Comprehensive School System) and interview training for job preparation, basic financial education, voice phishing prevention training, and psychological counseling.
Chairman Cho Seong-don stated, "We will fulfill our responsibility as a public institution to help young people preparing for independence find jobs that match their aptitudes and strengths and grow into healthy members of society."
