【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충청북도새마을회가 주최하고 우석대학교 새마을동아리가 주관한 ‘발로뛰어 효(孝) 사랑 프로젝트’가 7일 진천군 덕산읍 중방마을에서 성공적으로 마무리됐다.
이번 사업은 충북도의 후원을 받아 진행됐으며, 새마을지도자진천군협의회, 진천군새마을부녀회, 직장공장새마을운동진천군협의회가 협력했다.
이번 프로젝트는 지역 대학생과 새마을단체가 협력해 농촌 지역 어르신들에게 맞춤형 복지 서비스를 제공함으로써 세대 간 소통 강화와 공동체 중심의 나눔 문화를 조성하고 있다.
우석대 새마을동아리 학생들과 진천군새마을회 회원 30여 명은 덕산읍 중방마을을 방문해 어르신 족욕, 염색, 일일 손자ㆍ손녀 되어 드리기, 경로당 환경 정비 등 현장 밀착형 봉사를 실천했다.
한 어르신은 “평소 외로움을 느끼던 차에 학생들이 직접 말벗이 돼주니 마음이 따뜻해졌다”며 “아이들의 웃음소리가 마을에 활기를 불어넣었다”고 고마움을 표시했다.
김일권 진천군새마을회장은 “지역 어르신들을 위한 의미 있는 활동을 실제 수행하게 돼 보람이 컸다”며 “지역사회 봉사에 지속적으로 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
