【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북환경교육센터와 증평자원순환시민센터는 지난 20일 증평 창의파크에서 쓰레기 문제 인식 및 실천방안을 주제로 특강을 개최했다.
이번 특강은 홍수열 자원순환사회연구소장(일명 쓰레기 박사)을 초청 해 진행됐다.
홍 소장은 강연을 통해 쓰레기 분리배출의 중요성을 강조하며, 내년부터 직매립 금지 시행에 따라 수도권 종량제봉투 쓰레기가 청주 지역 민간 소각장으로 유입될 가능성을 우려했다.
또한 전자레인지에 적합한 플라스틱은 사실상 존재하지 않으며, 일부 제품이 소비자를 속이는 방식으로 판매되고 있다고 지적했다.
아울러 2026년부터 달라지는 분리배출 기준, 플라스틱 사용 최소화 필요성 등을 설명하고, 아파트 단지에 우유팩·멸균팩 전용 수거함 설치 등 실천 가능한 자원순환 방안을 제안했다.
이날 특강에 참여한 이재영 군수는 “증평군을 위해 귀한 발걸음을 해주신 홍수열 소장께 감사드린다”며 “쓰레기 감량과 올바른 분리배출은 환경 위기 대응의 핵심인 만큼, 생활 속 실천 문화가 정착될 수 있도록 군민 여러분의 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.

Director Hong emphasized the importance of waste separation and expressed concern that the ban on direct landfills starting next year could lead to the influx of volume-based waste bags from the Seoul metropolitan area into private incinerators in the Cheongju area.
