파주시는 최근 열린 지역 농산물 축제에서 1회용품 사용을 대폭 줄이고 다회용기 사용을 적극 확대하며 친환경 축제 모델 구축에 나섰다고 밝혔다.
시는 “축제 현장의 일회용품을 줄이는 것이 지속 가능한 지역 환경을 만드는 첫걸음”이라며 다회용기 활성화 의지를 강조했다.

시는 지난 10월 ‘파주개성인삼축제’와 지난주 개최된 ‘파주장단콩축제’ 전 구간에 다회용기를 도입하고, 수거·세척·재사용이 가능한 순환 시스템을 본격 운영했다.
특히 두부 시식 용기, 종사자 식당 식기뿐 아니라 파스타 용기, 포크·숟가락 등 기존에 1회용품 사용이 많았던 품목까지 과감히 다회용기로 전환했다.
