【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 지난 10월경 발생한 대소면 화학물질 누출 사고로 농작물 피해를 입은 농가를 돕기 위해 두 팔을 걷고 나섰다.
군은 조속한 피해 농가의 일상 회복과 생활 안정 도모를 위해 내년도 영농 착수가 시급한 시설채소 농가를 우선해 농촌일손돕기 추진계획을 수립했다.
또한 군 농촌활력과와 대소면에 일손돕기 알선 창구를 운영하고, 전 부서에 12월 말까지 1회 이상 피해 농가를 찾아 일손돕기에 참여하도록 독려하고 있다. 또한 지역 기관사회단체도 참여하도록 적극 홍보에 나서고 있다.
특히 3일에는 조병옥 군수를 비롯해 군청 농림축산국 직원과 농협 음성군지부, 대소농협 직원 등 50여 명이 피해 농가를 위해 16동 시설하우스에서 토마토 덩굴 제거와 배추 수거 작업 등을 실시했다.
조 군수는 “앞으로 농촌일손돕기가 각 기관사회단체 등이 참여하는 범군민운동으로 전개·확산되길 바란다”며 “군 행정력을 총동원해 화학사고 피해를 입은 주민과 농가의 조속한 생활 안정을 위한 지원에 총력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 군은 피해 농가의 다음 해 영농 준비와 착수에 도움을 주기 위해 일손이음 지원사업 및 충북형 도시농부 사업과 집중 연계해 일손을 지원하고, 원활히 인력이 공급될 수 있도록 다각적인 노력을 기울일 예정이다.
일반 농가보다 우선 피해 농가를 먼저 지원해 빠른 영농 복구가 이뤄질 수 있도록 하고, 농작물 수거 작업에 농기계가 필요한 경우, 농기계를 우선 임대할 계획이다.
