서성란 경기도의원, “의왕 철도 지하화 통합개발, 기본계획에 반드시 반영해야”

경기도의회 건설교통위원회 서성란 의원(국민의힘·의왕2)이 지난 11월 25일 열린 제387회 정례회 철도항만물류국 2026년도 예산안 심사에서 의왕시가 제안한 철도 지하화 통합개발 계획의 반영을 경기도에 촉구했다.

서성란 의원은 경부선 지하화 논의와 관련해 “의왕 구간은 도로·철도·물류 기능이 얽혀 도시단절이 심각한 지역”이라며 “지하화를 통한 재편성 효과가 가장 큰 만큼 기본계획에 포함돼야 한다”고 말했다. 의왕시는 의왕역 지하화, 상부공간 개발, 부곡 ICD 부지 활용 등을 아우르는 통합구상을 이미 제안한 상태다.
