이번 이사회에서는 2026년 세입·세출 예산(안) 등 6건의 안건을 심의·의결했다. 이날 내년도 예산 256억 3천여만 원과 명문학교 육성사업을 확정하는 등 인재 육성에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄졌다.
또한 신임 및 연임 임원에 대한 안건을 의결해 내년부터는 이사회가 새롭게 구성될 예정이다.
조병옥 이사장은 “다가오는 병오년에도 무한한 가능성을 가진 지역 인재들이 큰 꿈을 키울 수 있도록 다양한 장학사업을 추진할 예정”이라며 “앞으로도 음성의 인재들에게 균등한 교육 기회를 제공하도록 양질의 장학사업을 진행하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 1991년 설립된 (재)음성군장학회는 장학금 지급과 함께 장학생 멘토링 프로그램 운영하고 글로벌 인재 육성을 위한 문화탐방을 기획하는 등 다양한 장학사업을 추진해 왔다.
