대구 동구, 아양아트센터에 생활밀착형 실내정원 조성

【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구청이 아양아트센터에 생활밀착형 실내정원을 조성했다. 

동구청(구청장 윤석준)은 최근 사업비 10억 원을 들여 아양아트센터 곳곳에 새로운 녹지공간을 마련했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업에는 국비 5억 원, 대구시비 2억5천만 원, 구비 2억5천만 원 등 총 10억 원이 투입됐다. 조성 지역은 아양아트센터 광장을 비롯해 문화동, 공연동, 스포츠센터 내부와 옥상까지 전 구역에 걸친다. 동구청은 이번 정원 조성을 통해 미세먼지 저감과 공기질 개선 효과를 기대하고 있으며, 시설을 찾는 주민들에게 더욱 쾌적한 휴식 공간을 제공할 계획이다.

정원에는 주목, 팔손이, 화살나무, 구절초, 송악, 돌단풍 등 자생 수종과 자작나무 등 총 18종 170그루의 교목, 26종 3,127그루의 관목, 34종 1만2,464본의 초화류가 심어졌다. 또한 파고라와 벤치 등 다양한 휴게 및 편의시설도 곳곳에 설치돼 주민들이 머물며 쉴 수 있도록 꾸며졌다.

윤석준 동구청장은 “실내정원 조성을 통해 공공시설의 정주 환경과 공기질이 더욱 나아지길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 생활공간 가까이에서 숲을 느낄 수 있는 녹지공간을 꾸준히 늘려가겠다”고 밝혔다.
