【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 보건복지부가 주관한 ‘지역사회보장계획 시행결과 평가’에서 전국 243개 지자체 중 기초 지자체(226)에서 ‘최우수 기관’으로 선정됐다고 8일 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 지역 실정에 맞는 복지정책을 수립하고 추진한 성과를 종합적으로 평가한 것으로, 진천군은 복지정책의 체계적 이행과 군민 체감형 복지 구현 노력을 인정받아 높은 평가를 받았다.
군은 2021년부터 매년 우수기관으로 선정돼 왔으며, 2023년 ‘최우수’, 2024년 ‘대상’에 이어 올해 다시 ‘최우수’ 기관으로 충북을 대표하는 복지 선도 지자체로서의 입지를 공고히 했다.
군은 지속 가능한 양질의 일자리 창출, 보편적 교육복지 구현, 건강생활 기반 구축, 포용적 돌봄 확대, 안정적 생활을 위한 기초소득 보장, 문화향유 기회 확대, 안전한 생활환경 조성 등 9대 추진전략, 50개 세부 사업을 체계적으로 추진해왔다.
특히 지역사회통합돌봄 지원, 생거진천 케어팜 운영지원, 청소년 문화예술활동 지원 확대 등 지역 특화 복지정책이 높은 점수를 받았다.
강선미 군 주민복지과장은 “이번 평가는 군민의 삶의 질 향상을 최우선 가치로 두고 추진한 복지정책이 실질적인 성과로 이어졌다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 군민이 체감할 수 있는 현장 중심의 복지행정을 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
