【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 지난 8일 군청 상황실에서 평생학습 진흥을 위한 정책 방향을 모색하고 지역 특색에 맞는 평생교육 정책 수립을 지원하기 위해 평생교육협의회를 개최했다.
이 자리에서 2025년 사업 성과와 2026년 시행계획을 공유하며 음성군 평생교육 활성화를 위한 다양한 의견을 나눴다.
올해 군은 평생학습도시로 지정된 지자체를 대상으로 3년마다 실시하는 재지정평가에 통과했으며, 교육부 장애인 평생학습도시 재지정을 통해 소외됨이 없는 학습환경을 조성하고, 도내에서 유일하게 3곳의 평생학습관(금빛, 설성, 공유) 운영으로 80여 개의 다채로운 프로그램을 제공하는 등 지역 주민들의 평생학습 참여를 활성화하고 있다.
성인문해 교육 분야에서는 찾아가는 문해교실, 스마트폰 활용 교육 등 다양한 성인문해 프로그램 운영했다. 전국 성인문해 시화전에서 11명이(시화 6편, 엽서 5편) 수상했으며, 중·고등학교 검정고시반 운영을 통해 54명(초졸 4명, 중졸 16명, 고졸 34명)이 합격하는 쾌거를 이뤘다.
군 관계자는 “디지털·문화·복지 등 다양한 분야로 학습 영역을 확대해 실질적인 삶의 질 향상을 도모하고 평생학습도시로서의 경쟁력을 강화해 나갈 계획”이라고 말했다.
그러면서 “군민의 눈높이에 맞춘 맞춤형 평생학습 정책을 추진하고, 읍면 어디서나 원하는 학습을 누릴 수 있는 전 군민 평생학습 시대를 차근차근 실현해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

A county official stated, "We plan to expand learning areas to various fields, including digital, culture, and welfare, to improve the quality of life and strengthen our competitiveness as a lifelong learning city."
He added, "We will pursue customized lifelong learning policies tailored to the needs of our residents and gradually realize an era of lifelong learning for all residents, where learning is accessible anywhere in the county."
