중구청은 1월 20일, 무단으로 부착되거나 배포된 전단, 벽보, 현수막 등을 주민이 직접 수거해 제출하면 실적에 따라 보상금을 지급하는 방식으로 사업을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이 사업은 중구청이 전체를 관리하며, 각 동 행정복지센터가 수거 접수 창구를 맡게 된다.
보상 기준은 전단 100매당 500원, 벽보 100매당 4,000원이다. 현수막의 경우 크기에 따라 4㎡ 미만은 500원, 4㎡ 이상은 1,000원이 지급된다. 보상금은 1인당 매달 전단·벽보 20만 원, 현수막 20만 원, 연간 최대 100만 원까지 받을 수 있다.
전단과 벽보 수거에는 중구에 거주하는 만 60세 이상 주민이 참여할 수 있다. 이들은 관할 동 행정복지센터에 수거물을 제출하면 실적 확인 후 다음 달 10일경 보상금을 받는다. 단, 이미 공공근로사업, 노인일자리 등 타 공공일자리 사업에 참여하고 있는 경우는 대상에서 제외된다.
현수막 수거는 만 20세 이상 중구 주민을 대상으로 별도의 수거 정비원을 최대 20명까지 선발해 운영한다. 희망자는 거주지 동 행정복지센터나 중구청 도시디자인과를 방문해 신청할 수 있다.
류규하 중구청장은 “주민 참여형 수거보상제는 도시 미관 개선은 물론, 건강한 광고문화 확산에도 도움이 될 것”이라며, “주민들이 자발적으로 참여해 깨끗하고 쾌적한 중구를 만드는 데 함께해 달라”고 당부했다.
