【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구청이 주민들의 디지털 활용 능력 강화를 위해 ‘2026년 주민 정보화교육’을 2월 23일부터 11월 말까지 팔공정보화교육센터에서 운영한다.
동구청에 따르면, 이번 교육은 스마트기기 사용이 어려운 고령층과 정보 취약계층을 중심으로 실시된다.
스마트폰과 컴퓨터 기초부터 인공지능(AI) 기초까지 총 9개 과정, 28회에 걸쳐 진행될 예정이다.
교육 장소는 동구 효서로 13에 위치한 팔공정보화교육센터 3층이다.
동구청은 지난해 처음 마련한 AI 기초 과정에서 ChatGPT를 활용한 맞춤형 교육을 제공해, “실생활에 도움이 된다”는 긍정적인 평가와 함께 높은 만족도를 얻은 바 있다. 올해는 이 성과를 바탕으로 AI 교육 과정을 크게 확대해, 고령층이 일상생활 속에서 인공지능을 더 활발히 활용할 수 있도록 지원한다는 방침이다.
이번 정보화교육은 스마트폰 기본 사용법과 컴퓨터 기초, 인터넷·메신저 활용, 온라인 안전 등 실생활에 바로 적용 가능한 내용으로 구성됐다.
수업은 단순한 이론 강의 대신 반복 실습과 질의응답이 중심으로, 개별 보충 지도와 충분한 피드백을 통해 학습의 격차를 최소화하도록 설계됐다.
특히 고령층의 눈높이에 맞춰 실제 생활 문제 해결에 도움이 되는 실습 과제가 강화된 것이 특징이다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “인공지능과 디지털 기술이 일부 세대에만 머무르지 않도록, 앞으로도 어르신 맞춤형 교육을 확대해 나가겠다”며 “모든 주민이 디지털 혜택을 고루 누릴 수 있는 동구를 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

The course focuses on repetitive practice and Q&A rather than simple theoretical lectures. Individualized supplementary guidance and ample feedback are designed to minimize learning gaps.
The program is particularly notable for its enhanced hands-on activities, tailored to the needs of seniors and designed to help them solve real-life problems.
Dong-gu District Mayor Yoon Seok-joon stated, "To ensure that AI and digital technologies are not limited to a select few, we will continue to expand customized education for seniors. We will strive to create a Dong-gu district where all residents can equally enjoy the benefits of digital technology."
