포천시는 지난 28일 시청 시정회의실에서 보건·의료·복지 분야 전문가와 관계 공무원들이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년 제1회 건강도시위원회’를 개최했다고 29일 밝혔다.

이날 회의는 ‘행복지수 업(UP)! 건강도시 포천’이라는 비전 실현을 위해 마련됐다. 위원들은 「제8기(2023~2026) 지역보건의료계획」에 따른 3차년도(2025년) 추진 실적을 면밀히 평가하고, 이를 바탕으로 올해 시행할 4차년도(2026년) 계획을 수립·심의했다.
특히 심의 과정에서는 ▲시민 건강 격차 해소 ▲고령화 및 저출생 문제 대응 ▲감염병 예방 관리 체계 강화 등 지역 현안을 해결하기 위한 심도 있는 논의가 오갔다. 참석자들은 단순한 계획 수립을 넘어 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 정책이 필요하다는 데 뜻을 모았다.
시는 이번 위원회에서 제시된 전문가들의 의견을 보건의료계획에 적극 반영해, 지역 특성에 맞는 맞춤형 보건 정책을 단계적으로 추진해 나갈 방침이다.
