대전경찰청과 대전자치경찰위원회가 설 연휴를 앞두고 시민 안전 확보를 위한 특별치안대책을 추진한다고 8일 밝혔다.
경찰은 오는 9일부터 18일까지 10일간 ‘설 명절 종합치안대책’을 시행하며, 범죄 예방부터 교통 관리까지 시민이 체감할 수 있는 현장 중심 치안활동에 나선다.
이번 대책은 중부권 교통 요충지라는 대전 지역 특성에 맞춰 도출된 것으로, 경찰은 △가시적 치안활동 강화 △민생침해 범죄 예방 및 엄정 대응 △단계별 교통관리 체계 구축 등을 핵심 전략으로 제시했다.
특히 무인점포, 금은방, 주차 차량 절도(일명 ‘차털이’) 등 범죄 취약 개소를 중점 관리 대상으로 지정하고, 취약시간대 순찰 강화와 CCTV 관제센터 화상순찰을 연계해 예방활동을 강화한다.
범죄통계와 112 신고 분석을 토대로 사전 점검을 실시하고, 사건 발생 시에는 초동 조치와 검거 활동을 신속하게 진행할 방침이다.
