(목포=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남 목포시가 새 학기를 맞아 어린이들의 안전한 등굣길 조성을 위한 전방위적 안전 점검에 나섰다.
목포시는 지난 4일 초등학교 앞 어린이 보호구역(스쿨존)에서 시민들과 함께 ‘안전 한바퀴’ 교통안전 캠페인을 전개하고, 통학로 곳곳의 안전망을 세밀하게 점검(사진)했다고 밝혔다.
이번 캠페인은 어린이 교통사고를 사전에 예방하고, 시민이 주도적으로 참여하는 성숙한 안전 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다. 이날 현장에는 시 관계 공무원과 유관기관, 시민들이 직접 참여해 스쿨존 구간을 꼼꼼히 살폈다.
점검단은 어린이 보호구역 내 ▲과속 및 불법 주정차 우려 구간 ▲보행자 시야를 가리는 장애 시설물 ▲노면표시 및 교통안전표지 상태 ▲방호울타리와 과속방지시설 등 교통안전 시설물 전반을 집중 점검했다.
