【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군은 3월 9일 군수실에서 변압기 제조 전문기업 우진전기(주)와 300억 원 규모의 증설 투자협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 충청북도와 옥천군, 기업 간 서면협약 방식으로 진행됐으며, 우진전기는 구일농공단지 내 기존 부지 14,833.8㎡에 제조시설 6,600㎡를 포함한 총 7,260㎡ 규모의 생산시설을 증설하고 40명을 신규 고용할 계획이다.
1996년 설립된 우진전기는 변압기 및 아몰퍼스코어 등을 생산하는 지역 기반 전력기기 제조기업으로, 지난해 매출 568억 원을 기록하며 안정적인 성장세를 이어가고 있는 지역 대표 유망기업이다.
이번 증설은 ▲전력 인프라 확충에 따른 변압기 수요 증가 ▲신재생에너지 및 데이터센터 확대에 따른 고효율 전력기기 시장 성장 ▲노후 전력설비 교체 수요 증가 등에 선제적으로 대응하기 위한 전략적 투자로, 생산라인 확대와 설비 고도화를 통해 품질 경쟁력을 강화하고 국내를 넘어 해외 판로 확대까지 추진하겠다는 비전을 담고 있다.
