군은 이번 협약을 통해 퇴원 이후에도 지속적인 돌봄이 필요한 고령 환자들이 지역에서 안정적으로 생활할 수 있도록 공동 대응에 나설 계획이다.
이번 협약은 병원 치료 이후 발생할 수 있는 돌봄 공백을 최소화하고 지역 중심의 통합돌봄 체계를 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 지역 주민들의 이용이 많고 의료서비스에 대한 신뢰도가 높은 안동병원과 협력해 의료와 복지가 연계된 지역 돌봄 체계를 구축한다는 점에서 의미가 있다.
협약의 주요 내용은 △퇴원 환자의 안정적인 재가 복귀를 위한 상호 협력 △주민 건강증진 관련 서비스 계획·제공·현황·관리 등에 필요한 자료 공유 △지원 대상자 발굴 및 연계 협력 등이다.
사업 대상은 골절이나 낙상 등으로 입원 치료를 받은 뒤 지속적인 의료·돌봄 지원이 필요한 65세 이상 노인이다.

군 관계자는 “지역 주민들이 신뢰하는 안동병원과 협력해 퇴원 이후 돌봄까지 이어지는 의료·복지 연계체계를 구축하게 됐다”며 “앞으로 협력 병원을 추가로 발굴해 더 많은 주민이 돌봄 서비스를 받을 수 있도록 사업을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 군은 지난해 12월 안동병원과 닥터헬기 응급이송 및 환자 의뢰 협약을 체결해 응급환자의 신속한 이송과 협진 체계를 구축한 바 있다.
