【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군립올누림도서관이 국립어린이청소년도서관이 주최하는 「2026년 이야기가 있는 코딩」 공모사업 운영 도서관으로 최종 선정됐다.
군은 단양올누림도서관이 이번 공모에서 전국 100개 운영 도서관에 포함되며 충북 도내 선정 기관으로 이름을 올렸다고 23일 밝혔다.
「이야기가 있는 코딩」 사업은 초등학생을 대상으로 독서와 코딩(소프트웨어)을 결합한 창의융합형 프로그램이다.
이야기 중심의 독서 활동과 소프트웨어 체험을 연계해 사고력과 문제 해결 능력을 키우는 데 목적이 있다.
이에 따라 단양올누림도서관은 관내 초등학생을 대상으로 책 읽기와 코딩을 함께 경험할 수 있는 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.
참여 학생들은 책 속 이야기를 바탕으로 한 코딩 활동을 통해 창의력과 디지털 역량을 자연스럽게 기를 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
특히 이번 프로그램은 코딩을 처음 접하는 학생들도 쉽게 참여할 수 있도록 구성된 것이 특징이다.
놀이형 활동과 스토리 기반 학습을 접목해 흥미를 높이고, 부담 없이 코딩을 익힐 수 있도록 운영될 예정이다.
군 관계자는 “지역 초등학생들이 독서와 코딩을 함께 경험하며 미래 핵심 역량을 키울 수 있도록 내실 있게 준비하겠다”며 “학부모와 학생들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
